About the Presenters

Chasm Institute is led by Mark Cavender and Michael Eckhardt. Cavender is a former Managing Director of The Chasm Group and has more than 15 years of management experience with companies including Oracle, J.D. Edwards, GEAC and Ceridian.  Eckhardt is a veteran of Hewlett-Packard, PepsiCo Inc., and Price Waterhouse, a graduate of Harvard Business School and a Wall Street Journal Award winner.  Clients include Business Objects, Hyperion, Lawson, Microsoft, Nextel, Nokia and SunGard, Agilent, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, LMC Data Systems and Mentor Graphics.


Pivotal Product Management is led by Linda Merrick and Mara Krieps, practicing product managers with more than 40 years' combined experience, also serving as instructors and advisors for the University of Washington's Certificate Program in Software Product Management.  Both are Certified Product Managers and recipients of AIPMM's "Excellence in Product Management Education" award.
