December 2008 "Hot Button" Survey Results

Our December Hot Button survey asked “What Drives Value in Your Product or Service?”

Most of the December survey respondents work with products targeted at businesses, where the value drivers are mostly about revenue improvement (50%). A distant second: cost savings, time savings, and health and safety. But we didn’t see a clear linkage between what drives value and which features get priority.

Value may be the underlying reason behind market, customer, or sales feedback on features. But how much more powerful would it be if Product Managers made and articulated the direct connection? Try it!
